UTM Estonia

One of the strategic goals set by Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications to EANS is to develop a U-space framework and to support the state activities on UTM - Unmanned Traffic Management - in Estonia. In autumn 2019 - spring 2020 a consulting project was conducted in cooperation with AirMap (a UTM technology developer) - in the frames of the project Estonian U-space Concept of Operations and a national Action plan for its implementation was developed. The legislation of unmanned aviation shall be applied in accordance with international regulations in cooperation with Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications so it could support the respective development activities, technical innovations in unmanned aviation in the Company and entrepreneurship development in the country on the whole. Currently U-space deployment project is being prepared for start-up.
