Before this date the flight plan addressing has been handled by the ATS units of local aerodromes. From October, 10, it is Tallinn Centralised ARO (ATS Reporting Office, AIS Department) that is responsible for the all VFR flight plans for the flights operating in Tallinn FIR. A dedicated AFTN address has been established and shall be used for submission of VFR flight plans for the flights operating in Tallinn FIR. Tallinn ARO is responsible for their further distribution. The change shall ensure 24/7 availability of flight plan data/information, which is timely distributed to all ATS units. This implementation of the new VFR FPL workflow makes the information exchange more efficient; the common VFR FPL database provides harmonised ARO working process, data integrity, enhances flight safety.

This application is part of the planned NM Increment1 (IFPS becomes part of the VFR plan process).
